Line up change : 17/05

English Comedy at RITCS café: Scott Capurro / Rory O’Hanlon
We’ve put together a killer line-up to keep you in stitches all night long.

Camp and outrageous, provocative and controversial, catty and hysterical, Scott Capurro is a breath of fresh air in the increasingly samey and stale world of stand-up. Not for the faint-hearted, Scott’s un-comprising take on his gay lifestyle and white trash background make him as challenging as he is funny. A Perrier Award Winner comedian and actor who played a part in one of our most and one of our least favorite movies of all time: “Ms Doubtfire” and “Star Wars: The phantom menace”

Starting his career in Dublin, Irish comedian Rory O’Hanlon is a favorite at comedy clubs across the UK and Ireland, known for his rapid-fire, joke-heavy delivery.
Rory has had several solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival and was in The Stand’s ‘Best of Irish’ show, as well as appearances at the Glasgow and Cardiff Comedy festivals.
Rory has also performed all over the world, including Moscow, Berlin, Monte Carlo and many places in between.

Barry is a local comedian bringing the Irish craic to our stage.
English Comedy at RITCS café: Phil Nichol / Andrew Ryan
April 19 is another night full of laughter to mark in your calendar. We’ve put together a great line-up and tickets are limited so hurry and get yourself on “the list”.
Phil Nichol (ca):
Phil Nichol is a truly unique performer. An acclaimed actor, Edinburgh award winning comedian, producer, presenter, writer and musician, there is no end to his talent! Phil is an energetic and exciting performer with an unquenchable thirst to break boundaries and innovate with his work. His skill as an improviseris unparalleled. With a surreal edge to his mischievous rantings, Nichol always brings something new to the stage. After starring in the award winning west end musical “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie” Phil is coming to Brussels and we are happy to make room and hand over our stage to a legend.
“…a show that makes you laugh and think while you are watching, and then wakes you up in the night to laugh and think again.” The Scotsman *****
“… not just comedy but soul-quenching storytelling at its finest.” EdFestMag *****
“Masterful” The Herald ****
Andrew Ryan (IE):
Irishman Andrew Ryan is one of the most exciting talents in recent years; in demand as an act and an MC at the biggest comedy clubs across the UK & Ireland.
Andrew’s quintessentially Irish storytelling abilities and cheeky, friendly demeanor make him a natural stand up. In 2018 he won ‘BEST NEW SHOW’ at The Leicester Comedy Festival with his new show.
Rapturously Funny ★★★★- The List – ‘An hour of hilarious comedy’ ★★★★- Edfestmag
Yannick Joos:
Yannick is a local Brussels comedian giving it a go on our stage.

Mar 15: English Comedy at RITCS café: Olga Koch

March 15 is another night full of laughter to mark in your calendar.
We’ve put together a great line-up and tickets are limited so hurry and get yourself on “the list”.

Olga Koch does stand-up comedy onstage and creates cathartic performance art in the privacy of her own home. She was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018, Best Show at Leicester Comedy Festival in 2020, and longlisted for Best Stand Up Show at the National Comedy Awards in 2021.

George Rigden is one of the most exciting new musical comedians to emerge in recent times. Since breaking out as a finalist in a host of prestigious new act competitions within his first year, including being nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the year, George now regularly performs for all the UK’s leading comedy clubs and at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, drawing significant acclaim and was recently nominated for Best Musical Comedy Show at Leicester Comedy Festival.

Niamh Moroney is an Irish comedian and one of the driving forces behind the Brussels comedy scene.

Feb 15: Ed Night
Dear Comedy lovers.
We’ve got another awesome night of comedy planned for you on February 15. Look at this wonderful line-up:
🎤Ed Night:
The hilariously astute Ed Night is bringing his wise-beyond-his-years comedy to Brussels. Mental health, sexuality, society and current affairs are hilariously dissected. Ed has a razor-sharp understanding on how to craft a joke and was The Scotsman & The Times “Pick of the fringe 2019”.
“As far as comedy goes, he’s pretty much cracked it already”
★★★★ The Scotsman
🎤Jeron Dewulf:
He’s well known among our Belgian comedy lovers as he seems to be everywhere on Belgian Tv. What a lot of people don’t know is that he was crowned the world champion of improv in Berlin and has been working on an ‘English special’ son to go on tour around Europe.
🎤Sam Kiebooms:
The honor of the Talent Spot for november to Sam Kiebooms

English Stand-up @ RITCS café – Dec 21
On December 21st you are cordially invited to join our own little Christmas comedy show.
This time however tickets are really limited as we are working on half capacity to ensure your safety.
So join us for another great night of comedy.
Rob Deering
Rob performs stand-up comedy with music, using a guitar, a loop pedal and his voice to create impressive rock and pop soundscapes – and do jokes, of course. Along with being one of the most in-demand headliners on the UK circuit, he’s toured nationally and performed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe many times since starting out in comedy in the year 2000.
Sergej Lopouchanski
Sergej has been a regular in the Flemish comedy landscape for a few years now. As a first-generation immigrant from the Soviet Union, he combines striking observations about Flemish life with a childish playfulness that his appearance does not suggest. A teddy bear with a mean side, that’s all you need in your humour, isn’t it?”
Soe Nsuki
Soe is a promising young comedian and she is working diligently on her first hour.
As usual you can book tickets by mailing us: standupritcs@gmail.com or through our website www.comedybrussels.com Pre-sale: 15 €, on the door 18€, eHB students 7€ RITCS café – Dansaertstraat 70 – Tuesday December 21 – Start 20h doors 19h – Covid safe ticket + Mask
16/11 English Comedy at RITCS café: Alfie brown & Raul Kohli

Dear Comedy lover.
Look at this awesome line-up:

Alfie’s firebrand style of comedy has been forged from years of pushing boundaries and experimentation. Natural stage presence combined with explosive material makes for a thrilling performance every time he hits the stage.
★★★★★ “It is tricky to write 350 sensible words when you come out a show simply thinking “Wow! F**k! Wow!’ “THE SCOTSMAN
★ ★ ★ ★ “Brown’s is one of the boldest new voices I’ve encountered… mapping a route to a different class of humour” THE GUARDIAN

Raul Kohli has fast become one of the most captivating acts on the circuit. As one of the few Asians to have grown up in the far north of England, he’s been blessed with a Worldview that upends ethnicity, culture and class. Combining ‘Superb political comedy’ (The Scotsman) with surreal storytelling.

Peter is an old hand at comedy, hailing from the self proclaimed metropolis of Antwerp in the self proclaimed country of Belgium. He’s performed his benign absurdist comedy at plenty of bars and a few theaters. And somehow got to the finals of no less than two comedy competitions. When Mr Kluppels is not on stage, you will most likely find him -fully suited up- eating yoghurt of some sort whilst civil serving.
