21MAR: English Comedy at RITCS café: Alfie Brown & Ben Norris
We’re super excited for our March comedy show. Live at the Apollo’s Alfie Brown and Mock the week’s Ben Norris are coming to Brussels. A double headliner show!
Alfie was featured on last month’s “Live at the Apollo” the famous BBC comedy show watched by millions and recorded in the Legendary Hammersmith Apollo. He was also nominated for “best show” at the Edinburgh 2022 fringe, won the Chortle award for “best show”, released a special on Amazon prime and did a complete tour of the UK all in one year. But if you’re still not convinced, Alfie is one of our favorite comedians!
“It is tricky to write 350 sensible words when you come out of a show simply thinking “Wow! F**k! Wow!’ ” – THE SCOTSMAN
“Mock the week”, “Never mind the Buzzcocks”, “The Comedy store”, “The Apollo”, Ben did it all! Norris is a highly experienced and hugely well-respected stand-up. He’s been performing comedy since 1993 and is renowned for his incredibly relaxed stage persona and his innate ability to improvise as well as deliver sharply crafted material. (fun fact he isn’t the famous one at the family christmas dinner because his cousin is both a hobbit and Dr. Watson.)
With 20 years on the clock, Norris is one of the most bankable headliners around and is a brilliant improviser. – The Guardian

We’ve got another great line-up planned for you. Our headliner was a sensation at the Edinburgh fringe getting rave reviews. We are big fans and you will be too!
Paul Currie (UK)
Paul Currie is never afraid to show his street-performing circus roots during his shows. This Irishman has one of the most unique, interesting and downright funny comedy styles we’ve ever seen.
Currie is a performer who delivers his act without fear. And that’s something really like. And if you’re in for something a little strange, so will you.
‘I wish I’d seen him sooner, my favourite comedy show of the Fringe.’ (comedian Stewart Lee)
***** (The Scotsman)
Brian K. Jordan (US)
Brian has developed his own style of storytelling comedy. They say that part truth is involved in most comedians’ stories, and Brian is no different. IF you figure out which parts of his stories are true, they could shock you.

English Comedy at RITCS café: Tom Ward / Imran Yusuf
Fresh from his celebrated debut on Live at the Apollo, Tom Ward comes to Brussels with a brand-new construction of offbeat observations and top-notch whimsical detours. His favourite themes are all here: love, the 90s, living in a house… But this time he’s venturing out beyond his beloved suburbs to take on the planet, mental health and gender politics.
In August 2022 Tom did his fourth solo show at Edinburgh Festival with an hour called ‘Anthem’ and will be taking it on tour of the UK from November.
Beyond The Joke Broadway Baby

Line up change : 17/05
English Comedy at RITCS café: Scott Capurro / Rory O’Hanlon
We’ve put together a killer line-up to keep you in stitches all night long.
Camp and outrageous, provocative and controversial, catty and hysterical, Scott Capurro is a breath of fresh air in the increasingly samey and stale world of stand-up. Not for the faint-hearted, Scott’s un-comprising take on his gay lifestyle and white trash background make him as challenging as he is funny. A Perrier Award Winner comedian and actor who played a part in one of our most and one of our least favorite movies of all time: “Ms Doubtfire” and “Star Wars: The phantom menace”
Starting his career in Dublin, Irish comedian Rory O’Hanlon is a favorite at comedy clubs across the UK and Ireland, known for his rapid-fire, joke-heavy delivery.
Rory has had several solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival and was in The Stand’s ‘Best of Irish’ show, as well as appearances at the Glasgow and Cardiff Comedy festivals.
Rory has also performed all over the world, including Moscow, Berlin, Monte Carlo and many places in between.
Barry is a local comedian bringing the Irish craic to our stage.
